Swedish dreampop songwriter Victoria Bergsman and her project TAKEN BY TREES report back with a brand new music video. This time it’s for the hypnotic song Only You, a piece from last year’s very recommendable longplayer Other Worlds. Like the rest of the record, Only You got this nice Hawaiian vibe that inspired Bergsman quite much. The video clip – directed by Armen Harootun – sees the singer blindfolded, experiencing various emotional situations without actually seeing them.
The filmmaker on the concept for the new TAKEN BY TREES clip: “I became tired of watching videos of the same thing: a man chasing a woman, or visa versa. It seemed appropriate to consider love as something that doesn’t have to be between a man and a woman. The video is a showcase, not a demonstration of that idea.” Experience it right here.
