Last month we reported about composer OWEN PALLETT leaking the information that ARCTIC MONKEYS lead singer Alex Turner and his friend MILES KANE are working on a second album by their band THE LAST SHADOW PUPPETS. Although the tweet by PALLETT was quickly deleted further confirmation of the new album comes in form of produced James Ford. According to DIY he confirmed the release via Chilean site ‘Rock & Pop’ as he states: ‘This year, I’ve just done a Last Shadow Puppets record, which is the guy from Arctic Monkeys and Miles. So we did the follow-up album to that. That’s the last thing I did.’
The follow-up to the duo’s debut The Age Of Understatement from 2008 is supposed to be released somewhere in 2016. We’ll keep you updated.
