The Prodigy - Ibiza - Video

Context?

British rave rock evergreens THE PRODIGY recently released their long awaited new album The Day Is My Enemy. While the album itself is a quite predictable repetition of the famous PRODIGY formula there are a few really strong moments on it. Ibiza, the collaboration with lo-fi mods SLEAFORD MODS is one of them and it absolutely makes sense to bring this pumping piece of madness as a single with an accompanying music video.

Why Should I Watch This?

Because there’s no other performer at the moment who swears so entertaining as SLEAFORD MODS‘ frontman Jason Williamson does. So, it’s a pure joy to see him joining Liam Howlett and the gang for a trip to the innocent employee of a travel agency. Here’s enough time to play the role of the ugly British customer who rants about ‘Ibiza’s rotten encrusted rocks.’ Yes, Williamson and the other boys are not in the mood for the usual all-inclusive holiday. It’s quite funny to see four guys in their mid forties just behaving a bit like radicals.

Anything Else?

THE PRODIGY are likely to play a summer festival near you so don’t miss the chance to catch them. Same goes for the SLEAFORD MODS who might save the spirit of British punk. Check out their featured interview with NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION from earlier this year right here.
