Yes, you’ve read that headline correctly. None other than US indie-pop band VAMPIRE WEEKEND got his hands on a true pop classic of the 1990s. They covered the legendary ANDREA BOCELLI ballad Time to Say Goodbye (Con te Partirò) from 1997. Some of you might remember this guilty pleasure. It’s taken from an upcoming compilation of Starbucks called Sweetheart 2014. It arrives just in time for Valentine’s Day featuring plenty of interesting love song covers by acts like BECK or JIM JANES. And VAMPIRE WEEKEND – who released their third album Modern Vampires Of The City last summer – did a great job. Especially with their Italian. Listen to the tune right here.
