There are news coming in from LA-based psych rock outfit WARPAINT. Yesterday they premiered a new, previously unreleased track on a radio show. It’s called No Way Out (Redux) and compresses the band’s sound in a quite delicate manner. If that wouldn’t be good news enough, the Youtube description now reads “The first in a series of new songs being released this year” – whatever that may mean, it gets us even more excited for some more of this fine material. WARPAINT‘s last full-length, their self-titled second LP, gathered them some acclamation all around. They spoke to us about the process of making it in an interview as well. And although Warpaint‘s release is a year ago now, the four women stayed busy in one way or another. There’s been some cool collaborations, a split EP with DAUGHTER and, of course, relentless touring. But still there seems to be some music left in their cellars. Good to hear!
