Although many critics and economics predicted its end, the vinyl record is more alive than ever. Well, in fact the number of sold vinyls is constantly rising within the past years. There is something quite special with these records. They feel different, they sound different and you clearly handle them with another attitude than, well, let’s say an USB-stick.
Bristol-based director Alexander Macdonald must be a person to agree with us on this topic. The filmmaker created a haunting and fascinating little documentary about vinyl loves. Being entitled White Label it features interviews with several people that have been influenced by vinyls in different kind of ways. It’s less about the medium, more about the love and the passion.
