It’s been way too long since NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION attended the iconic German Haldern Pop Festival but we’re more than happy to change that this season and return for the event’s 36th edition which happens between August 8 and 10, 2019 in the Lower Rhine Area. Being famous for its high quality line-up for decades this years is once again packed with stunning names from the international indie music scene. The almighty Father John Misty is inviting you to his gospel, Bristol-based punkers IDLES will bring their positive punk vibe, Michael Kiwanuka his delightful soul, Soap&Skin her cinematic pop and Julien Baker her amazing voice. And today we are more than happy to announce more acts for the Haldern Pop Festival 2019 line-up via the following video:

As you can see plenty of exciting new artists are joining the event and we heavily advice you to have on your radar. Irish band Whenyoung, for example, which we named one of our ‘9 artists to watch in 2019’ earlier this year. Canadian songwriter Patrick Watson will debut brand new music he’s currently recording with an orchestra while German electronic three-piece Brandt Brauer Frick will also return with brand new material from their anticipated new record Echo which will arrive later this year. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg (you should definitely check out soul and blues sensation Durand Jones & the Indications if you haven’t done it yet). Here are the latest additions:

Kuersche (DE) + Felix Kramer (AT) + Pictures (DE) + David Keenan (IRL) + Thirsty Eyes (AT) + Another Sky (GB) + Jungstötter (DE)+ Alyona Alyona (UKR) + Dylan Cartlidge (GB) + Whenyoung (GB) + Sea Girls (GB) + Palace (GB) + Alex the Astronaut (AUS) + 5K HD (AT) + Jeremy Dutcher (Can) + Durand Jones & the Indications (US) + Woods of Birnam (DE) + Gewalt (DE) + Gerry Cinnamon (SCO) + SYML (US) + Brandt Brauer Frick (DE) + Patrick Watson (CAN)

As thoughtful viewers you might have also noticed that the trailer inclues first names for the festivals twin event, the Kaltern Pop Festival which will happen from October 24 to 26 in South Tyrol, Italy so if you are ready to plan your festival season beyond the summer time we highly recommend to have this one on your radar as well. But for know we’re obviously more excited about August and all those great artists that we’re about to experience. If you love good music – whether it’s from exciting new bands or established favourites – Haldern Pop Festival remains one of Europe’s most important spots for that to experience to you better make sure to get your tickets right here before they are gone. Over the next months we will continue to shed a light on some of the festival’s highlights.
