Last month the gentle Stich by Wooden Peak already caught our attention and now it looks like the tender tune wasn’t a lucky shot at all as the duo returns with a stunning follow-up. Swarm continues the tender notion that Sebastian Bode and Jonas Wolter introduced the last time. The German duo once again uravels a hypnotic and reduced groove that carres the melancolic vocal performance of Wolter through these four minutes.
What really fascinates here is the gentle ‘on point’ production by the restless two-piece. By avoiding to overload the track and giving all its ingredients (lovely marimba in the backrground) just the right space they need to unfold their magic. If you are now in the mood for more: an entire new Wooden Peak album called Yellow Walls arrives on January 18 via Kicktheflame and they are also heading on a a tour next year.
