“Steine wälzen” (“Rolling Stones”) is a photo series by German photographer Jenny Schäfer. The pictures deal with the connection between stones and human beings. Jenny Schäfer is interested in the dynamic of stones and the mobility of nature in connection with the human immobility. Basically she brings reality and classification systems into question to possibly understand basic and complex phenomenas. For this the photographer works with documentary and staged photographies, point of views and superimpositions.
Some of the pictures will be in the atumn issue of “HANT Magazin”.
Jenny Schäfer (28), studies fine arts at HfbK Hamburg and works as freelance photographer. She does work series and spatial constellation which are published in her blog. For bands like HUNDREDS, SEA OF LOVE and VIERKANTTRETLAGER she did band portraits. Furthermore the artworks of WAVES OF JOY’s recent EP Days Of Value and HENRI WOLF’s upcoming vinyl Im Lichterwald (out October) were created by her. Since summer 2013 her photo book “genau(,) so ist es eben nicht” is available.
