It seems that the cool music people love to have their socks all sweet and nice. Late last year we were informed about SNOOP DOGG‘s collaboration with Happy Socks. The collection was called “The Art of Inspiration” and it featured those super lovely and colorful Snoop designs that were ready to make your feet happy (pun intended).
Today our inbox got on fire after reading that the hot, super idol, her Majesty the Queen of Entertainment RIHANNA became a contributing Creative Director of Stance socks. She’ll be designing women’s collections throughout her multi-year partnership with the brand and therefore she’s named as the Punk & Poet Ambassador of the brand. Whoah, it seems that this title is absolutely fitting to this multitalented iron lady.
In her words: “I’ve had a great collaboration with Stance for a long time and I’m happy to be working with them on such a fun and creative project. This is an exciting new venture.”
Stance from their side stated: “Rihanna epitomizes what it means to dress by your own rules. She is a fashion pioneerand we are excited that she has made Stance her next canvas. This is a seminal moment for the sock category because together Rihanna and Stance have the ability to take an accessory you’ve never thought
about and transform it into one you can’t live without”. Well, we cannot but agree with them, as we’d dare to say that we haven’t seen such a fashion icon since the epic days of MADONNA. Just saying.
To celebrate the kick-off of the relationship, Stance has released two limited edition styles in a print called Murder Rih Wrote. Both styles are 3-of-a-kind sets, meaning there are 3 socks in the set, each with slightly different graphics that make for a mix and match collection. The first limited edition style, in which Rihanna is pictured, is a combed cotton over-the knee silhouette. The second is the Murder Rih Wrote crew sock which is available in both men’s and women’s sizes. Each crew set is individually numbered, making it a true collector’s piece, with only 1,500 sets produced. Both styles are available now exclusively at Stance.com.
Rihanna’s first complete Stance collection will be unveiled this fall and will be available globally. As a contributing Creative Director, RiRi will work on various creative projects of Stance along with the
(lucky) team of the brand. We’re so much looking forward to see what they’re keeping in store (once again, pun intended).
