AESTRID from the Netherlands are back with Disappointment, a new song premiering exclusively on NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION. Disappointment is a great – and at the same time very melancholic – alternative pop song by the band that you will probably hear a lot from within the next months. The band’s name, AESTRID, was chosen as the first songs began to take shape years ago in Bo’s bedroom. Astrid was his father’s fiance and his mother’s best friend. She tragically died of carbon monoxide poisoning and drowned while taking a bath due to a faulty boiler. The tragedy brought his parents together seeking for comfort. Devastation became new love. The “E” in AESTRID was added for a bit more mystery. And mystery is the word that describes the Dutch band’s sound best as Disappointment proves.
