Psychedelic Pleasures: NBHAP presents the Tutti Frutti Fest 2016

Who doesn’t mind a certain tropical flavour in the cold and harsh of Berlin’s winter? Well, we surely don’t mind to change the mood and that’s only one reason why we hooked up with Berlin-based booking agency pøj pøj once again to bring you the second edition of the Tutti Frutti Fest on December 10, 2016. Following a joyful first edition one year ago at the Berghain cantina, the slightly different festival returns to the city at a new venue and with an even bigger line-up.

The Urban Spree will host the second Tutti Frutti Fest fest this year and the artists once again showcase the love of the pøj pøj gang for slightly weird and crazy psychedelic pop experiments. Let’s just take the buzzing garage kraut rockers ODD COUPLE who just released the gorgeous new video for Haste Strom, haste Licht which you can witness below. Or take Swiss duo FAI BABA whose sound is decribed as ‘monster-boo- gie, toxic folk, garage-blues, psychedelic country’ on its label’s page. On top of it, various DJ sets by BOUNTY ISLAND and KLAUS JOHANN GROBE (who already compiled a stunning guestmix for us last year) will provide a massively grooving selection of afrobeat, funk, soul and basically every kind of weird exotic genre you can think of.

And maybe that’s the main reason why we would like you to attend the Tutti Frutti Fest 2016: It’s a celebration of the unusual, an adventurous take on concert and club culture, one that tears down the lines between past, present and future.
