We’re surely getting closer and closer to the release of the long awaited new album by electronic producer Aaron Jerome aka SBTRKT. Just a few days ago he gave us another new piece called Higher and before that we already had New Dorp, New York and War Drums. And today comes Voices In My Head, the latest track off his forthcoming LP Wonder Where We Land which arrives on September 29.
And as always when SBTRKT returns with a banger, he’s not alone. On Voices In My Head he gets support by A$AP FERG and members of WARPAINT. Jerome on the song: ‘I started this in London with an idea I recorded on an upright piano – took this to Los Angeles (set up at Fleas the Boat studio in Silver Lake) collaborating further with Stella (drums) & Emily (vocals) from Warpaint – took this back to London to work more arrangement ideas to it and finally a couple months later took that to New York (Downtown – The Roots were in the studio next door!) and collaborated with Ferg (out to our friend Callender for connecting us). This is one of my fave tracks and seemed to be a fitting ending to the record too.’
