Only two more weeks before beloved dreampop duo BEACH HOUSE will release its anticipated new album Depression Cherry. Now the two-piece launched quite an interesting way to listen to new music from it. Their freshly re-designed homepage offers a special ‘Single Finder’. Based on your favourite three BEACH HOUSE tracks it plays you one of three tracks from Depression Cherry. Besides the previously released Sparks the selection also includes the new pieces PPP and Beyond Love.
The duo explains the idea via Facebook: ‘For us, it’s always a strange moment when a single has to be chosen. No one song ever feels like a perfect representative for a record. This device allows you all to choose the 3 songs you have enjoyed most in the past and have a ‘single’ chosen for you based loosely on what we consider to be musical similarities.’ The duo also presents a special Setlist Creator option which allows you to shape their forthcoming live shows.
