Like a sunny day on the beach and a refreshing jump into the ocean next to it. This Monday’s ‘Sound of the Day’ will make you forget the blues of a new week beginning. It’s a fresh collaboration straight from the heart of Berlin city. Crafted indie rock newcomers CRASHCAPTAINS got their song Light Lines reworked by electronic producer OLIVER GEHRMANN. And the result is a quite uplifting piece of minimalistic electronica.
Last week NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION had the chance to see the band live on stage during the ‘First We Take Berlin’ showcase event (find our recap right here) and they really got our attention. Great melodies, authentic honesty and singer Nicolas Heintz clearly resembles DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE frontman Ben Gibbard if you close your eyes. Their debut album Some Time Soon is out now. Mr. GEHRMANN brings the sound of CRASHCAPTAINS to a whole new level. Although he delivers a solid four-to-the-floor beat the band’s heart and soul is still shimmering brightly through the music. What a great way to start this week, don’t you agree?
