Who is it?
We weren’t expecting to hear back from AMBER ARCADES so soon after she released her debut album Fading Lines in June last year, but it seems that Annelotte de Graaf is already making plans. She’s just dropped a brand new single, It Changes.
Why should you listen to it?
Because you should always listen to AMBER ARCADES, you idiot. If you needed any more reasons, putting It Changes for five seconds will serve up plenty. It Changes is a little more boisterous and raw than the shimmering indie de Graaf served up on Fading Lines, but that’s no bad thing. It’s a swirling, stomping rock’n’rock song that adds a little grit and bounce to de Graaf’s airy melodies. Here’s what she has to say about it:
‘Everything changes, all the time. You think that when starting something new you can kinda tell which way it will go, but you never do. I always try to aim for constancy and stability but things always get messier than I foresaw. And hey, maybe that’s actually what makes it worthwhile.’
