Who is it?
American songwriter AMBER COFFMAN used to be part of DIRTY PROJECTORS before her and songwriting partner David Longstreth broke up back in 2012 – first personally, later also professionally as she recently stated. And although she didn’t intend to leave the band behind her ‘forced’ solo path could end in a very joyful way. No Coffee is already her second solo track and it’s just the right sound we need on this Monday.
Why should you listen to it?
Just like former musical companion Longstreth took the band away from traditional indie rock paths, AMBER COFFMAN is also heading for a more soulful direction with her latest single. No Coffee is a warm and smooth piece of singer/songwriter pop that sees the artist furhermore emancipate herself from the own past by providing a confident and charismatic new direction that happens to also be musically quite addictive.
What’s next?
There’s going to be a full-length album by COFFMAN soon called City Of No Reply. No details and release date have been revealed yet but we surely wouldn’t wait too long for it.
Everyday we’re adding NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION‘s Daily Tune to our ongoing Spotify playlist, packed with all the hidden treasures by those talented newcomers you need to know. Listen and follow right here.
