Who is it?
We’ve been superfans of PIECES OF JUNO forever, and the great news we have to share with you is that her debut full length record is finally confirmed to be on the way. The Norwegian producer and songwriter, known IRL as Kine Sandbæk Jensen, will release Kalopsia later this month. We got a taster of it a while back with lead single Your Mouth Is A Dragon, and now we’ve got a second, a cover of ELYSIAN FIELDS‘ Black Acres.
Why should you listen to it?
Jensen recruited her KOSO Collective ANANA for the track, and the duo’s flickering vocal interplay gives the track its heart and soul. It’s full on burning-candle noir, a song that grabs tension and desire by the neck and treats it as its own personal plaything. The original’s acoustic sound is modernised and darkened, turned into a pulsing shadow of piano and murky beats. It’s the kind of song that pulls you in deep; listen too long and you might never get out.

Kalopsia is released on KOSO on April 28th.
