As you might know by now the year 2016 will see the release of a new GORILLAZ album, the first one in five years. Over the past months co-founder and the band’s cartoonist Jamie Hewlett teased the new release with various sketches and images. Now a new one has been released which clearly references the legendary DAVID BOWIE. Could this be the teasing of a potential collaboration?
We know that BOWIE is a fan of the band’s work as Consequence Of Sound points out. His LP Hunky Dory was featured on the sleeve of the 2010 GORILLAZ LP Plastic Beach. Back than the official website of the mastermind asked the band to ‘contact us directly’ next time which is… well, right now.
