Crafted British songwriter LAURA MARLING recently detailed of her sixth studio album. Semper Femina arrives on March 1o via her own label More Alarming Records. It follows the pretty pleasing Short Movie from 2015. According to a new interview with The Fader the album addresses gender issues as well since MARLING states:

‘I started out writing ‘Semper Femina’ as if a man was writing about a woman. And then I thought it’s not a man, it’s me — I don’t need to pretend it’s a man to justify the intimacy of the way I’m looking and feeling about women. It’s me looking specifically at women and feeling great empathy towards them and by proxy towards myself.’

A first video arrived n the form of the tender Soothing and LAURA MARLING even self-directed it. A second souful track goes by the name Wild Fire and is up for stream via tender lyric video. To complete the trilogy the singer/songwriter also directed the clip for Next Thing. You can enjoy all three videos right here together with the lyric video for a fourth track called Nothing, Not Nearly.
