Beloved British indie band METRONOMY is currently quite busy with the recording of their fifth studio album. As mastermind Joseph Mount now stated via Q Magazine the follow-up to 2014’s Love Letters is going to be released later in 2016. It will alos feature legendary BEASTIE BOYS collaborator DJ Mix Master Mike who worked with the band on a song called Old Skool.

Last year Mount already promised a record that ‘will be very direct and big and poppy.’ He also told NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION back in 2014 that there are plenty of leftover songs from the recording sessions back then that would be more fitting for a dance album. In conversation with Q Magazine he now states that a new METRONOMY album might sound a bit like 2008’s Nights Out album:

‘I wanted to try and do another record that captures that fading memory of being a bit younger and going to clubs, but with the confidence I didn’t have then’
