Daughter

Beloved British folk rock outfit DAUGHTER is about to return for good. The trio just announced the follow-up record to their 2013 debut album If You Leave. It’s called Not To Dissapear, will arrive via 4AD/Glassnote on January 15th next year and a first song that goes by the name of Doing The Right Thing has been already shared in form of a nice new video.

It really seems as if the band around singer Elena Tonra is ‘doing the right thing here’ – their dreamy folk rock reminisces BEN HOWARD in this first tune and the visual component is part of a promising and ambitious concept as well. DAUGHTER invited the directors Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard (NICK CAVE‘s 20.000 Days On Earth) to film three little short movies for their new songs – making this clip for Doing The Right Thing the first part of a triptych-like series. Grow your excitement for more new DAUGHTER music right here and get back to the chat we had with them back in the days of their debut, if you like.
