Are Daft Punk are already working on a new album?

Daft Punk

Hold your helmets close to your heads, boys and girls. DAFT PUNK might return sooner than we think with the follow-up to their Grammy-winning 2013 record Random Access Memories. But before you collectively breakdown be aware that this is just a rumour with no official confirmation. YourEDM pointed on it by following a Facebook discussion of legendary producer Paul Johnson. Johnson was a big influence for DAFT PUNK (just check out the Teachers track from Homework below) and he posted a poster from a gig with them back in 2000. In the following discussion someone mentioned how much he missed the band with Johnson replying: ‘They are working on a new house album right now.’

That’s the only ‘information’ we got so far but since Johnson is close to the band he might have a bit more information. Rumours also state that a potential new release could also be exclusively come to the TIDAL streaming service which also features the guys from DAFT PUNK. NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION will keep you updated on this.
