Context?
Earlier this year composers ÓLAFUR ARNALDS and ALICE SARA OTT joined forces in form of a collaborative album with re-compositions of the legendary Frédéric Chopin. The musical couple gave those classical compositions a contemporary twist while still keeping their original charm. They already gave us a fantastic music video with ‘The Mountain’ from Game Of Thrones back then and now comes another one.
Why Should I Watch This?
Eyes Shut presents the tender and slowed-down side of The Chopin Project and director Máni Sigfússon found romantic but somehow also apocalyptic images for the accompanying music video. It follows a young couple on its journey while the world is set in menacing colours. Almost seven minutes of tenderness that will give you a short break from the world around you. And who doesn’t love that?
