Recently Aaron and Bryce Dessner of THE NATIONAL announced the release of an epic GRATEFUL DEAD tribute sampler Day Of The Dead. Now, the band has shared their cover of the GRATEFUL DEAD song Morning Dew from 1967. It’s one of three contributions by THE NATIONAL for the sampler which arrives on May 20 via 4AD. Furthermore, THE WAR ON DRUGS, COURTNEY BARNETT, PHOSPHORESCENT (with Jenny Lewis) and BRUCE HORNSBY have also released their versions simultaneously.
The compilation furthermore features cover versions by REAL ESTATE, ANOHNI, BILL CALLAHAN and many more. It’ll feature 59 songs in total and is almost 6 hours long. Listen to Morning Dew as well as the other freshly released tracks right here.
