Berlin is an inspirational Mekka for many pursuing a creative line of work. Yet, regarding the local garage and punk scene the ground could be richer. Nevertheless, female power band, Gurr chose Berlin as their home base. The Duo gained international acclaim with their independently produced debut record In My Head and after extensive festival hopping and touring Laura Lee and Andreya Casablanca returned to Berlin.
Shortly after the release of ‘Now I’m In It’ in late October, a song about going through depression and spiralling minds, NBHAP editor Anna Stich talked to HAIM about the tough times, the past times, the good times and the future times. The three Californian sisters have been working hard in the studio and since then blessed the world with another single called ‘Hallelujah’, a counterpart to ‘Now I’m In It’ appreciating the love and support we need while stuck in a dark place.
