Introducing in June promises to be a danceathon, with an add-on tour through various eras of synthesizers. NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION partners with German music magazine Intro to showcase BRAIDS, PROPELLERS, and VANBOT. PROPELLERS, a Kent, UK band, bring raucous and sardonic synth driven rock pop in the style of FRANZ FERDINAND. VANBOT is Swedish pop star Ester Ideskog. Full of retro synths and pop references, she’s the female equivalent of TRULS, who rocked the Introducing showcase in April.
Headlining the show is Canadian experimental pop trio BRAIDS. Having impressed with their debut album Native Speaker in 2011, they are back to support Flourish//Perish. Minus one band member, and after eighteen months of touring, BRAIDS brings a new and modified song set, which has been described as more electronic and introspective.
