Well, apparently we did something right with our cosy little YouTube show Palms & Circumstances entering the stage of Hamburg’s Reeperbahn Festival in 2018 for the first time. Because the lovely event invited us back for a second round one year later and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Once again we invited musicians from various fields to our tiny stage at the L’tur travel office to deliver a spontaneous songwriting session that usually isn’t that mapped out in the beginning. That makes every show different but usually very enjoyable as well. It shows that music can be fun and even the most serious band is up for a laugh if you give them a set-up they feel comfortable in.
Oh and how they all felt comfortable in Hamburg. We couldn’t have asked for better guests this year and once again our venue and its team provided the best possible support and hospitality. Evvol, Cari Cari, Suzan Köcher’s Suprafon and Italian duo I’m Not A Blonde and Amsterdam-based songwriter Somewhere are the bands we’d like to present you from the 2019 edition. All these groups prove that they are a musical force you shouldn’t underestimate. Three years after the start of our little Palms & Circumstances adventure this marks the final chapter of this show for now. I might return at a certain point in time, long after Covid-19 but we don’t know yet when exacly. Thanks for watching and don’t miss all the other episodes on palms.show.
