Looks like fans of Canadian artist Claire Boucher aka GRIMES have to wait a bit longer for her new album. As the singer now confessed she scrapped most of the work on the follow-up to 2012’s longplayer Visions due to the mixed feedback she received on her latest single Go. The song was produced by BLOOD DIAMONDS and was originally written for US superstar RIHANNA who turned it down.
In a new interview with the New York Times Boucher said: ‘It upsets a lot of my fans, and I get why it upsets them. It sucked so I threw it out and started again.’ Details on when we can expect a new GRIMES record are still missing.
In the meantime Bouche visited the BBC and delivered a lovely little ‘Bedtime Mix’ including music by APHEX TWIN and PATSY CLINE. You can listen to it over at the BBC right here and enjoy the often discussed Go once again below.
