BBC Drive - OSTSometimes when a movie score is really good, you as a fan are automatically hoping for more. And sometimes you begin to think what other tunes would have perfectly fitted in one specific scene. It must be something like this that initially started the latest idea famous British radio DJ Zane Lowe had. The British gentlemen came up with the idea of re-scoring Drive, the beloved 2011 movie by Nicolas Winding Refn. And while the original already featured iconic scenes with the music of ELECTRIC YOUTH, CHROMATICS and the haunting original score by CLIFF MARTINEZ, this one is going to be way more diversified. Acts like FOALS, JON HOPKINS, SBTRKT or BANKS contribute brand new music to the selection which will air on the 30th of October at 10pm on BBC Three.

The first full track to be released from the new Drive score comes from beloved Scottish synthpop trio CHVRCHES and their track Get Away. It sounds a bit different than the songs from last year’s The Bones Of What You Believe as the three-piece was clearly inspired by the original Drive score right here. Still, you might get the point and who wouldn’t drive into an unknown future together with Lauren Mayberry at his side? Listen to the new track right here.
