Anyone remembers MAPS, the electronic wave project by producer James Chapman? Four years after his last album Turning The Mind, he’s back with his third album Vicissitude. The longplayer is set for a release via Mute Records on July the 5th, featuring a new single I Heard Them Say which premiered as well today.
And it looks like the break was necessary for MAPS at the new sound sees him returning to form. Still a bit dreamy but also quite focussed. Vicissitude was once again recored in Chapman’s home and mixed by Ken Thomas (M83, SIGUR RÓS) and Joylon Thomas. Watch a trailer for the record right here and listen to the first single below.
