Following a little teaser from last week DEPECHE MODE member MARTIN L. GORE has finally detailed his new solo album. The record goes by the name MG and will be released on 27/28 April via Mute. As rumoured before it’s an entire instrumental album that features 16 new tracks GORE recorded in the aftermath of the tour for the band’s last album Delta Machine.
The producer about his new album: ‘I wanted to keep the music very electronic, very filmic and give it an almost sci-fi like quality. Music is a necessity for me. I go into the studio at least 5 days a week, every week, so once I had the idea and the template, the process was quick and fun.’
MG is the first solo album by MARTIN L. GORE since the 2003 cover album Counterfeit². You can stream a first track, called Europa Hymn, right here.
