Following a three year long hiatus Berlin’s finest address for discovering great new music live on stage returns – INTRODUCING. And NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION is happy to support the event and give these new talents a place to find their future audience. And you know what’s best about it all? You actually don’t have to get a ticket for the event as this remains a free ‘guestlist-only’ affair! Isn’t that nice?

In its previous incarnation INTRODUCING already gave bands like CHVRCHES, The 1975, Alt-J and Years & Years its debut gigs in Germany way before their big breakthrough and we’ll hopefully achieve something similar with this upcoming new season of the event series which now takes place in the Berlin-based club The Reed once a month.

As a special bonus, INTRODUCING will celebrate its comeback at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg one day earlier on September 18 at the Mondoo club, featuring an additional fourth act. So, as you can see – we’re aiming to get as many people on board as possible. Over the next months we’ll continue to … well, uhm … introduce you to the artists performing at INTRODUCING right here in various ways. But now, please get to know the initial line-up and find out how you can get tickets below.

NOVAA

We already told you about the catchy organic electronic pop of Novaa before and are happy to witness her live on stage again this September, following a charming and brilliant performance at this year’s Melt! Festival (where also took over our Instagram feed for a day). Her songs are a catchy example of how profound pop music could and should sound these days.

WWWATER

Charlotte Adigéry started her musical career in the background band of Belgian electro/rock icons Soulwax and that’s probably not the worst way to launch a career. WWWater, her musical alter ego, however is heading for a different musical direction. Instead of banging beats we get gentle R&B sounds with a certain lo-fi spirit that also perfectly fits to Adigéry’s DIY spirit. She produced and releaesed her latest EP La Falaise by herself and that worked really great, we must say.

JAZ KARIS

Only 19 years old but already a bright future ahead of her: Jaz Karis follows the footsteps of Erykah Badu and takes traditional soul music sounds and vibes into the here and now. Like King Krule, Jessie J and Amy Winehouse (which might also be another reference) she visited the famous BRIT School in her home country and that alone might already get you excited. Her music will do the rest.

SASSY 009 (Hamburg only)

As a special bonus for the INTRODUCING launch event at this year’s Reeperbahn Festival we also bring you the hypnotic electronic vibes of Sassy 009. It’s a relatively new project by three friends, Teodora, Sunnivaand Johanna, who grew up together in Oslo. They produce atmospheric dance music, that combine traditional techno and house music vibes with an alternative spirit and love for the twilight. Sassy 009 are a must-listen experience for those of you who enjoy their floorfillers with a certain edgy twist.

INTRODUCING is a guest-only event – so make sure you enlist on www.introducing.de. Please note that the capacity is limited, so make sure to arrive early.

There is also going to be a limited guestlist spot raffle happening here on NBHAP in the next weeks, so watch this space and RSVP to the Facebook event in Berlin and in Hamburg in the meantime.
