Over the past months crafted German songwriter Felix Räuber already caught our attention with his ambitious first solo singles Wall and Every Motion. Carried by his distinctive vocal work the cinematic pop by the former Polarkreis 18 leading man seems to break down all remaining genre limiations, carefully and still confidentially walking beteween neo-classic, electronica, alternative and something quite unsual. Now, Räuber is finally releasing his debut EP, a colossal clash between musical worlds – and one of truly satisfying quality.

NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION is happy to bring you the exclusive pre-stream of the Wall EP ahead of its release on May 25. Additionally to the previously released two singles, we get three extra tracks that continue to expand his musical microcosm. Between The Lines feels like a leftover from a dramatic movie score while the pumping Effigy, a collaboration with Scott Matthew, is a pretty outstanding techno-infected monster that might even make Moderat jealous. The EP ends with an alternative acoustic version of the title-track, brought to life with the help of acclaimed violinist Daniel Hope. Needless to say, that this is another breathtaking experience.

All in all, Wall is an outburst of confidence and clear vision, one that shows that Felix Räuber is anything but a plain newcomer. He definitely knows what he wants and this debut EP is a testament of this strength and experience. And it’s also just really impressive music, to say the least. Convince yourself right here.
