Can you imagine? Already the ninth edition of our beloved German festival Maifeld Derby is taking place this year. And after our joyful time there last year we can’t wait to return. From the 14th until the 16th of June you can celebrate with great acts like Madrugada, Parcels and Sleaford Mods. The ninth Maifeld Derby is the last chance to visit the festival before there is a one year break: in 2020, the festival won’t be happening, as the organizers wants to have a little break to deliver the best tenth birthday edition he can.

As like in the years before, the festival delivers the perfect mix of genres, newcomers and old stagers. From famous acts like The Streets, Kate Tempest or Hot Chip to newcomers like Snail Mail, Novaa or P.A. Hülsenbeck , everyone will be satisfied here.  And alongside genres like rap (e.g. Mavi Phoenix), sweet electro (e.g. HVOB) and neo-classic (e.g. Niklas Paschburg) there are also readings (e.g. Linus Volkmann) taking place. You can find the full line-up right here.

At the Maimarkt areal in Mannheim – a horse racing track – there will be built four stages for over 65 artists for the three festival days. Only the finest food from local suppliers will be offered and you can also join a little stick horse race if you like. The festival terrain is easily accessible with footways that take the longest five minutes. To prove that the Maifeld Derby has a great booking, it won the Helga festival award in the category Finest Booking last year and is nominated for it again this season.
