It should be common sense by now that the Scottish indie scene is a remarkably vibrant one. It’s always a good idea to lend new music an ear that’s coming our way from there. So we did with HOLY ESQUE and they didn’t disappoint. The foursome from Glasgow will release their first EP Submission on July 17th and already aired a song called Fade earlier. Now comes another piece of their first EP: It’s called Strange and is exclusively premiering right now, right here on NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION.
It’s difficult to really pinpoint what HOLY ESQUE are doing here. It’s as much of driving electro pop and indie rock as it is a crooked update of industrial sounds and post punk. A poisonous but also addictive mixture that’s carried by singer Pat Hynes’ outstanding voice. Please fall for HOLY ESQUE‘s Strange right here.
