Instead of yet another worn out best-of list from 50 to zero, the NBHAP staff went to some length to compile some of the most remarkable new releases under three vital aspects: What was new, what was surprising and what left the most impact? Cleverly timed nostalgia, a true second coming or just pure coincidence? Some of the most loved indie rock groups from the golden heydays of the early 21st century are set to return with new records this year. NBHAP head and original ‘survivor’ of the indie scene, Norman Fleischer, gives an overview of what to expect in the next months.

Although this decade isn't entirely over yet we still like to already take a look back on its musical highlight. And especially the independent music scene seems to fully freed itself from any limitations and boundaries during these ten years, resulting in quite some memorable musical moments we'd like to share with you.
