MAJRO is the musical project of Myra Granberg, a Swedish artist hailing from the little town of Nybro but now based in Stockholm. She’s been slowly building up over the last couple of months, dropping a few singles here and there as the lead-up to a debut EP, which is set to land later this spring/summer. Anyway, the latest new song Heartbreak/ Britney mixes three threads of musical heritage into a new creation, a verse from the old blog-pop universe, a rubberly-rhythmic, groove-fuelled chorus and subject matter straight from the classic pop canon (doesn’t it suck to be a teenager?), all fused into a smartly-crafted electro-pop banger.
