Moloton is Stockholm’s premiere label for adventures in weird noise, and their latest release is by drone-electonica duo Orphan Ann (Sofia Al Rammal Sturdza and Anja Enerud), and their debut LP The Practice Of Surrender. The title track, which is what we’re dealing with today, works as a nice postcard from the heart of the album’s sound, an intro to the noise within. It sounds like the background noise from taking a zipline through Tartatus, dark, achingly heavy experimental and abstract drone music, majestic and grand and bleak in equal measure. The whole album is out now.
