Broen – ‘Strings’

Here is a quick Norwegian lesson for you: Broen, meaning ‘bridge’ in their mother tongue is also the name of a band of jazz students from Norway. They take their name literally and bridge about all genres you can think of to wild art-pop arrangements. Featuring screeching electronica, RnB grooves, and some smooth saxophone cries Strings does not have any strings attached to boundaries. The experimental track feels like an overwhelming amount of colors. It displays the unsettling feeling of life going on without you while somehow you are still in the middle of it not knowing what’s up and what’s down. ‘Strings’ is just the beginning, as the outfit will release their album Do You See the Falling Leaves? on October 18.
