Circumnavigate Wants You To “Keep A Moment” On Their Latest Alt Pop Gem

Closing 2020with a flourish, Norwegian/British alt-pop quartet Circumnavigate unveil their final – and most beautiful – track of the year, Keep A Moment. Written during and pieced together in the aftermath of lockdown, Keep A Moment nevertheless carries a hopeful message, building on the reputation the four-piece created with their two earlier releases this year, Layer You Up and Shy Love. Citing The Cinematic Orchestra, Thomas Dybdahl and Daughter as inspiration, Circumnavigate blend a little bit of all three on Keep A Moment, with impressive results. The Parallax Orchestra, who’ve provided strings for the likes of Clean Bandit and Dermot Kennedy previously, are onboard to add lush string layers, and hovering almost dream-like over the whole track are the delicate vocals of lead singer Sigrid Zeiner-Gundersen. Keep A Moment is a gem of a track – ethereal and gossamer-like in its sound but packing a hefty dual punch of tenderness and warmth. With a new EP due to arrive at the start of the year, this is surely another reason to keep a close eye on Circumnavigate for 2021.
