Disorientations Unleash Gritty Post-Punk Magic On “Allied”

I don’t know about you but even after all those years I’m not tired yet of a good old grumpy post-punk experience and Belgian three-piece Disorientations is right here to deliver it in the form of the noisy and gritty Allied. On it lifelong friends Lukas Van Camp (bass), Tomas Serrien (drums) and Niels Elsermans (vocals, guitar) unravel a haunting story about struggling with anxiety after unexpected experiences with tragic loss. It’s the musical equivalent of the feeling when the pressure of the outside world is just too much in those situations. Embrace the pain, that the emotions run free and use a track like Allied as a potential output for all that pain. It’s a timeless method, I gotta say. The track is taken from the freshly announced Distorientations debut album Memory Lanes which is set to arrive on February the 4th via PIAS.
