Doing laundry might not be your favorite thing in the world but Dry Cleaning is about to become. The four-piece from London released Strong Feelings and announced their debut LP New Long Leg, out 2nd of April. Lead singer Florence Shaw says “It’s about secretly being in love with someone who doesn’t know it“. The conversational and monotone vocal performance gives the track an industrial vibe, as does the repetitive bass line and the steady beat. When the twangy reverbed guitars kick in, the post-punk song is complete. The tight flow of the band, aided by the edgy vocals, almost reminds of an experimental art-like performance. Dry Cleaning are already a distinct and promising new voice whose reach will extend beyond their local circles of South London.
