We’re not done yet with the wave if 90s-inspired and female-fronted independent rock wave yet, right? Luxembourg-based duo Francis of Delirium continues where Soccer Mommy‘s latest album ended and Circles is pure and honest bliss for those of you who dig this sort of dreamy and melody-loving sound. It even reminds me a bit of Alanis Morissette and luckily we have reached a time when this isn’t an insult anymore. Circles is a small yet quite epic anthem and 18-year old Jana Bahrich knows how to deliver it with dignity and determination. It’s passionate and effective songwriting that makes this song so tempting and there’s also this slightly nostalgic notion that instantly connects with a 90s kid like me. Let’s keep our eyes and ears open for Francis of Delirium, shall we?
