In case you haven’t noticed it yet but Hope are really one of Germany’s most promising new bands right now. And we don’t only say that because they picked a bandname that’s just too perfect for our little magazine. Following their really strong self-titled full-length debut last fall the group around distinctive singer Christine Börsch-Supan also delivered a truly strong performance at this year’s ESNS Festival. Drop Your Knives is still our favourite tune from the Hope record and the freshly released music video underlines the hypnotic notion of it. The four-piece continues to prefer a blurry representation, giving their music all the space it needs to make its own path. Looks doesn’t matter, all that matters is that massive sound. The sinister post-punk of Hope will continue to achieve greatness this year, I’m pretty sure about that.
