This Friday’s Daily Tune unfolds its nocturnal beauty in the form of a slightly trippy piece of complex indie-rock which got this really haunting spell-like atmosphere that instantly grabbed my attention. British band Post Louis returns after a slight break with Little Jack, a sparkling and adventurous yet also pretty charming piece of alternative pop. Carried by it’s smooth beat and the wonderful voice of singer Stephanie Davin. The song is ‘about the pains of loneliness and low confidence, and what happens when these mix with naïve sexual desire,’ the singer explains while adding ‘I wanted to hint at the potential for harm or even domination.’ So, it’s a heavy tune in terms of content but the music is heading for a different direction.
