ROCH is the alter ego of British artist Kate Miller and the sound of her latest single Via Media is kind of hard to grab. It’s a dreamy piece of nocturnal and adventurous pop. Mysterious verses clash with a big hook in which the artist’s distinctive vocal remains a ghostly constant. Featuring such fragile lyrics like “We are tipping / While we’re missing / Sounds of violins and roads / Keeping our distance yet welded so deep” the song really creates its own magic. The accompanying music video sees Miller heading for the underground and examines people’s perception of space in the world we live in.
