Although Brooklyn-based duo She Keeps Bees has self-recorded and released music made at home since 2006 they somehow managed to fly under our radar so far which appears to be a big mistake when we look at a track like Longing. There’s plenty of music to be discovered from Jessica Larrabee and Andy LaPlant as this year’s Kinship record is already their fifth full-length. The latest single from it is a short but soulful piece of alternative folk that really manages to soothen your soul and calm you down in the most gentle way. It’s perfect material for the current melancholic autumn times if you ask me and once you are done enjoying Longing make sure to catch up on the rest of She Keeps Bees‘ material. We surely will.
