Sweden’s underground remains restless has it has always been when it comes to profound new talent. Signe Bådagård from Stockholm is another fine example on how the understanding of pop music appears to be part of the country’s DNA. Her second single Your Game, however, isn’t heading for the Top 40 (if such a thing still exists?), it walks between worlds. The trained jazz vocalis adds a dark and slightly more complex notion to her pop, it appears. There’s something pure and emotional withhin this new Signe track but also something really captivating. It’s how a proper pop song should sound and feel like if you ask me and I surely hope we’ll be hearing a lot more from her in 2019.
