The Rareflowers – ‘New Generation’

With all the nonsense going on the world right now and the fact that most of it is caused by angry old white men we really need to rely on this new generation to learn from all that nonsense. Brooklyn-based three-piece The Rareflowers probably didn’t intend to make their track New Generation a political statement and it surely isn’t one. But in an indirect way its optimistic character might actually fit quite well to a better looking future beyond the horizon. If you hit the play button you’ll experience three and a half minutes of sun-drenched beauty, mesmerizing 60s harmonies and one of those songs that instantly puts you in a good mood. Brothers Jimmy and Kane Maraday plus drummer Aaron Gollubier just released their self-titled new EP via Good Eye Records and if you love that Real Estate-like indie pop/rock as much as I do you should better give it a spin.
